AT-Student Interviews Online
California ATs are providing virtual one-on-one interviews with students where old students can speak privately with an assistant teacher about their Vipassana practice and how to apply it in daily life. These sessions will take place on a video Zoom call and happen each Thursday evening from 8:30-9:30 PM (Pacific Time).
If you would like to have a private 5-10 min interview with an assistant teacher, please register through this online form: http://bit.ly/1on1ATinterviewform
Once you are registered, you will receive two emails, one confirming your registration which you will receive within a few minutes after registration and the second with Zoom link details, typically the afternoon of the interview day. Both of these emails will also have a link for cancellation.
Every Thursday, there is a limit of 50 spots for students to have an interview with an AT. If you are not able to apply because the limit has been reached, you can sign up for the waiting list after the 7PM Thursday virtual group sittings. The conducting ATs give the information on how to sign up for the waiting list at the end of the group sitting. Your other option is to wait for the following week's appointment. The counter resets every Friday morning.
If you cannot attend the session, please use the cancellation link in the e-mails to cancel your registration ASAP. This will help us to allocate the time slot to other students.
Virtual Group Sittings
Virtual group sittings supported by ATs from California will continue so that old students have an opportunity to attend them twice a day, 7AM and 7PM PDT. After the Metta session, students may ask meditation questions to AT's for about 15 minutes. We have also added some answers given by Goenkaji that are being read by the ATs.
In addition to daily virtual group sittings, there are also 3-hour group sittings on Saturdays and Sundays, also conducted by ATs. Approximately 200-300 old students are currently attending these sessions, not only from California but from many parts of the world such as Africa, South America, Canada, Germany, Korea, New Zealand and Palestine.

Self-Courses at Home
Since the Shelter-in-Place order in California, many students have been emailing the local centers and Ask an AT to inquire about sitting self-courses at home. The North American Teachers have created a document to help provide guidance on how to structure a self-course at home, along with clarification on available recordings to use.
