Join our list of Day 11 Servers
We would like to share information about an opportunity to serve at CVC on the Sundays that a course ends (Day 11).
Day 11 is a great opportunity for Old Students who are familiar with the center to give service for a short time and help the center transition from the end of one course into the beginning of the following course by covering tasks such as laundry, restocking supplies, checking accommodations, etc.
It also gives you a chance to be back on center land, join daily group sittings, ask questions about your practice to ATs, and give service on a weekend. We hope you find it to be a beneficial opportunity.
Eligible servers are those who have sat a 10-day in the last three years, are committed to practicing the technique of Vipassana meditation, and are fully vaccinated.
Please let us know if you would like to be added to a list of servers for the Day 11 service, and we will reach out to you over email or text in the future to coordinate dates. Email dhamma-service@mahavana.dhamma.org
Upgrading Sitewide Signage and Lighting
Our maintenance team has been hard at work improving the signage and lighting around the Dhamma Mahavana campus. Lights in the parking lot were added a couple of years ago, and additional lighting plans are being planned for other parts of the campus. We hope that these improvements enhance the experience for students and servers who participate in CVC courses.
New Women's Servers Quarters
CVC plans to upgrade the residential quarters for women servers by constructing a new 2,500 sq. ft. building with 12 rooms and attached bathrooms.
- The total estimated cost for construction is around $600k.
- Currently, CVC has $285k allocated towards this project.
- CVC management would like to begin construction in the Spring of 2022.
- CVC needs to have at least $400k allocated to the project to begin construction.
With private rooms and attached bathrooms, the new women's servers' quarters will substantially improve over what is currently being used. New quarters will provide a better course experience for women servers. They will take a step towards reaching the goal of an ideal Vipassana meditation center for both students and servers.

Next Trust Meeting
All old students are invited to attend Dhamma Mahavana's Board of Trustees meetings held approximately once per month. Trust and committee members discuss proposals for center development with the goal of continuing to make CVC an ideal meditation center for all who come and attend courses. The next Trust meeting will be held on Sunday, Feb 27 from 10:30 - 12:00, and can be attended remotely if desired.
Please email registration@mahavana.dhamma.org if you are interested in attending.
